Etymology[edit]

Named after German physiologist Johannes Peter Müller (1801-1858) who described the ducts in 1830.

Müllerian duct (plural Müllerian ducts)

  1. A certain duct (of which there are two) in an embryo which in a female develop into the oviducts, uterus, cervix and upper vagina.
